Assignment 30: Final Reflection

2.      What sticks out to me as the most formative experience is the Figuring Out Buying Behavior No. 1 because it required me to go out and survey people about an actual idea that I had. This made me really feel like a real entrepreneur and it simulated what it would be like for me to actually pursue a venture. The experience that I will remember for years and the most joyous experience is the What’s my Secret Sauce assignment because it really was an interesting assignment. It made me realize the things that people saw in me and experienced with me that were positive and it really opened my eyes. The experience that I was most proud of was the Venture Concept No.1 because it shows the full body of work that I have been doing for the whole semester and it shows most every aspect of my product in one document.
3.       I think that I am closer to having an entrepreneurial mindset through the experiences that were assigned to me in this class. Although don’t believe I have a fully entrepreneurial mindset I am not upset about this. As professor Pryor said in class, entrepreneurs are a different breed of humans and I don’t believe I am ready to become one at the moment.
4.       What I would recommend to students is to work ahead and get the assignments done. Also enjoy the lectures because this professor is one of the best lecturers I have had and makes the lectures very enjoyable and informative. Take notes on the lectures as well because the cupcakes are based on the lectures but don’t stress too much about them because they are a small part of your grade. Just make sure to do the assignments. And don’t cheat because he can see it.

    Hi Jonathan,

    I agree with how you said that you think the figuring out the buyer behavior assignment was the most formative because how it set us up for the rest of the semester. I think this assignment allowed us to see how different people viewed our opportunity and this allowed us to tweak the opportunity before we got too far along with it. I like how you worded your section about how you don't think you are an entrepreneur yet, because I do not think I am there yet either. Good job this week!

    I agree that a good piece of advice is to watch and enjoy the lectures. This class is one of the only classes I have taken where the lectures do not consist of confusing material that you have to take notes on non-stop for the 2 hour period. If you listen to the lectures and pay attention, the quizzes are very doable and there should be no need to stress. I also agree that the secret sauce assignment was an interesting one, especially because people do not often get to ask others what makes them special, so it is definitely nice to hear.

    Hey Jonathan,
    I like the advice you give to students for this class was to get ahead so that you would not fall behind. I agree with you his lectures were very informative and really entertaining to watch his class really got me to think about how I can be a better entrepreneur in the future. I enjoyed this and would recommend it to others.

    Hi Jonathan,
    I think that your advice is very key to succeeding in this course. There are lots of weekly assignments that you need to keep up with during the clss and your recommendation to students of working ahead and get the assignments done is very important to maintain a good grade in the class and doing this would definitely help with this class.

Assignment 27: Reading Reflection No.3

1.        What surprised me the most about the Wright Brothers is that they lived in their family home when they were 30 and began to take interest in their invention at this age. What I admire most about them is that they took on a challenge that everyone thought was impossible and actually made it happen. What I least admire about them is that they still stayed at the family home as adults but this really doesn’t bother me that much; there’s not much I can find that I hate about them from reading this book.
