Assignment 15: Figuring Out Buying Behavior No. 2

Customer 1:
The price of my product matters to them because they don’t want to pay money for an app that they don’t necessarily need but they want. Quality does matter because they want a functioning app but the style isn’t that important to them. One thing they want is to be able to communicate with anyone.
They would download the app on their phone but probably wouldn’t want to use their computer.
This person says that what makes them think about the rightness of the app is if it actually has results. This means that are people using it, do they get an event to happen, does the scheduling and communication system work properly. If these don’t happen, they wouldn’t be satisfied
Customer 2:
The price is also important to this customer and they would not pay for this app because they too do not feel that this is a necessity but they would certainly download the app for free. The quality also matters and they want the app to function properly and don’t care about the style either.
They wouldn’t use the app on anything other than their phone either.
This customer would evaluate the app on whether it works properly or not. They did not necessarily mention anything about the results but only if it works properly.
Customer 3:
The price is also important for this customer and they do not want to pay for the app because it is also not a need but they would download it for free. They also want the app to be a quality app and but do not care about the style.
They also would only use it on their phone.
This customer was also focused on the results and whether people are using it or not. If people aren’t using it, they said, then it won’t work and they are right. They are also evaluating whether or not they were able to talk and connect with people with ease.
Reflection:
I have found that all of these people said practically the same thing, they want a free app that works well and has people using it that they can talk to with ease. This is a tall order, especially with people using it. I think that the way I could make people use it is use guerilla marketing techniques and go to high traffic areas such as the gym and on campus somewhere. They are very focused on performance because they want it to work well but they don’t need the app necessarily. They just think it would be nice to have on their phone to help them coordinate their activities when they can’t find enough people to play with.

  1. Hello Jonathan,

I do believe that this assignment was really important because you have a larger amount of opinions on your idea and this can help you to see what you can do to improve it or what your customer wants from your product or service. In your case it is really great that you found that all of these people plus the previews interviewees said practically the same thing, because you now know what the majority of your customers want.

  2. Hello Jonathan,
I think that by having an app as your product I think by marking it to your attended audience and by going to places where you would find the people that would most likely use your app is a great way of getting your product in the hands of more customers that are looking to use your app.
